I really enjoyed my music video for my song 'Get Ready' and I knew I wanted to do more music videos. This time, I'm taking on the challenge of actually directing and producing a music video for my song 'Thinking of You!' I love the process of being able to put my visions to my songs. There's just something magical about music and film together! This music video is expected to be released in late August. I'm excited! :)

This is a R&B song I wrote without a main instrument. I wanted to challenge myself because I'm used to creating a main melody instrument in my songs first be it saxophone, piano or vocals. I basically wanted to imitate the process of being a beats producer like Timbaland. I wanted to make an instrumental perfect for any vocalist to add their own voice and style to it. The last few months I've been writing more music for film. You may have heard me talk about writing music for a romantic comedy called "Bizarre Love Triangle." Listed below are the 2 themes I wrote for that short film.I hope you will enjoy listening to my romantic music!

I love watching mysteries so I decided to write some music that would be perfect for mysteries and suspenseful films. Listed below are 2 variations of a theme I wrote for a mystery. Enjoy!

_One of my friends Kevvin Taylor is directing a show called "Black Women Walking" in honor of women's history month. At the Black Arts Showcase that I performed at, I got to hear a skit of part of the show and it was inspirational and educational. I enjoyed what I heard! If you like history and want to learn more about black women in history, I encourage you to check it out.

Getting back into the groove of performing has been rewarding. On Friday February 3rd, I performed at The Black Arts Showcase, "Lift Every Voice" and on February 4th at Hob Nobs cafe in Phoenix, AZ. I had so much fun and the audience was a beautiful energetic crowd! :)

So back in October 2011, I was asked to help out as an extra for a short independent zombie film. Eager to try something new and help out, I said yes. Instead of being an extra, I ended up becoming the actress for the film! haha! My job was to act like a terrible actress. Interesting right? Here is the video below. Did I act out my part well? :-)

I got the results today from the Zenoids Theme Song Contest and I wasn't selected in the top 40. I found out there were more than 300 talented composers who participated. I give us all a high-five for our efforts!! I congratulate the composers who were selected as finalists and wish them the best of luck to receive the title! Throughout the month of November, I've been involved in various media projects. So here's the big update!

1.) As I mentioned in a previous post, I participated in the Deuce Radio Promotion contest. I didn't win but I was in the top 10 at number 6! Out of the many musicians that participated, this feels like a win to me. Thank you to all who supported me! :)

2.) The next event I participated in was the "Zenoids Theme music contest." I had to create an original theme song for a new animated web series hosted by renown film composer Michael Giacchino!! I should be receiving notice any day now if I succeeded as a finalist. More updates are posted on the website here! As soon as the contest permits, I will upload my song to my site for you to hear. 3.) Doritos held its annual "Crash the Superbowl" commercial competition. With a group of friends, we produced a commercial for the potential to be aired during the Superbowl in 2012. Click here to view our video 'Hungry Ducklings'!

WOW! The month of November has been full of projects...I LOVE IT!!! This is only the beginning. There are even more projects in the works right now. Updates to come soon!

I have just released the second Karma Soleil EP online for you all to hear. This one is called Eyes Unclouded. I wanted to delve into the techno world considering this music is a popular genre these days. I also love techno music myself! If you love techno/dance music, I hope you will enjoy mine. I've been writing music since I was 12 and I realized that I have many songs that I haven't released. I have no idea what to do with most of them. So I decided to make a mini video series talking about some of my unreleased songs. I plan to give you some background 'behind the scenes' information on the songs.
