A funny commercial that I like! 10/12/2011
I was watching TV today and I watched this commercial. I fell out laughing at how ridiculous this commercial is! He is advertising a energy drink that really isn't good for you and at the end of the commercial, "Worx" energy drink is trying to convince you that "Worx" is good for you and works for real. It was a bit contradicting in my opinion. After finding this video on YouTube, I discovered that this man Marty Lempkin does more infomercial spoofs. The other one I like is the "Epic Pass." Add Comment Learning new instruments 08/02/2011
I am learning violin and cello! Believe it or not, when I was younger I always wanted to be in an orchestra. I listened to classical music like it was the most popular genre! Upon learning saxophone and then realizing later that saxophone is not an orchestral instrument, I was a bit despaired; not to mention that many schools didn't have an orchestra in my area. Now, I'm finally learning violin and cello. The chances for me to be in an orchestra are low but I feel accomplished because I started learning. Better late than never. I'm even learning things about music theory that I didn't know before. I believe I'll be able to score orchestrated music more accurately because I'm learning these instruments. How fun it has been to learn a new instrument. I tell you, nothing compares to this! I've been inspired by Kimbra! 07/02/2011
In my quest to seek some new inspiration to complete my next jazz album, I came across this New Zealand artist named Kimbra. As of now, she has released 2 singles from her upcoming debut album 'Vows' which is due to be released this August 2011. I will buy this album!! I became an instant fan. Her vocal harmonies and quirky dance moves in her video "Settle Down" are mesmerizing. As I listened to her other single "Cameo Lover," I felt a brush of happiness as I listened to it. By the time I got to the middle of the song, I was completely smiling! haha! It just felt good to listen to this song. She has a soulful voice and puts all the notes in the right place. I have been inspired by her clean and classy style! A lazy song for a lazy day! 04/28/2011
Lately, I've been enjoying the latest single from Bruno Mars, "The Lazy Song." The music video is simple yet catchy. Although, I didn't understand the meaning behind the guys with monkey hats; it was...a bit different I'll say. haha. The song is perfect for those days when you just don't feel like doing anything. When I was done watching the video, I found myself whistling and doing the head dancing to the song. It's a fun perky tune. :) R.O.N album 'Promise' = I Love it 01/14/2011
I've just stumbled upon this group called R.O.N (Japanese alternative rock group). There's some good music you can hear by listening to background music in movies and TV shows! I heard their song "Why I'm right here with you" and I fell in love with the melodies, the lead singer's voice and the musical arrangement. They primarily sing in Japanese and English. The rest of their album "Promise" is definitely energetic and worth listening to if you enjoy rock music! (^_^) | Welcome!Thank you for visiting the Official Sparkle Nesby Website!
