This is a R&B song I wrote without a main instrument. I wanted to challenge myself because I'm used to creating a main melody instrument in my songs first be it saxophone, piano or vocals. I basically wanted to imitate the process of being a beats producer like Timbaland. I wanted to make an instrumental perfect for any vocalist to add their own voice and style to it. I love watching mysteries so I decided to write some music that would be perfect for mysteries and suspenseful films. Listed below are 2 variations of a theme I wrote for a mystery. Enjoy!

I've been writing music since I was 12 and I realized that I have many songs that I haven't released. I have no idea what to do with most of them. So I decided to make a mini video series talking about some of my unreleased songs. I plan to give you some background 'behind the scenes' information on the songs. I've noticed that sometimes in life you have to take a break from certain things in order for you body to heal. I had to take a long break from many things and music was one of them. Honestly, it's been hard for me not to do music! As my health has been slowly starting to improve I've been getting back to writing music.

Some of you may remember that I posted a sneak peak of my song "Another Time" on my YouTube page a while back. The song wasn't finished at the time but I'm finalizing it now to put it on my latest EP entitled, Doesn't Matter. The release date for the EP hasn't been decided yet but I will post an update as soon as it has. Till then, take care and stay healthy everybody!! :)

As you listen to Perfect Guy above, you may realize that it doesn't sound like anything I've ever released before! It's true. It's definitely not smooth jazz. For the first time in my musical life, I stepped out of the box and tried something new and different. Not only musically different but I've chosen to go under a different name just for this new music venture. I decided to choose the alias Karma Soleil on this song as well as the entire Phantasm Craft EP album that will be released April 1st, 2011.

Producing Perfect Guy was one of the the most challenging things I have EVER done! I'm not going to lie. It was hard. Very hard. Many sleepless nights. Even though it was hard, I had so much fun doing it! :)

The thrill of stepping out of my comfort zone was truly an amazing experience. I've learned so much. I actually feel like I've grown as a producer and writer. I can only hope that when you listen to this song, you can hear the effort and even some of the humor I put into this song. It's okay to find some of the lyrics funny. haha. That's Karma's style.

As Karma, I came up with the lyrics after I wrote the song. The most popular theme I viewed at the time was finding the perfect guy. The main theme being, "There's so many traits in a guy that are desirable, but you can't find one man that has them. I guess I'll have to talk about 2 separate guys with those desirable qualities!"

I'd like for everyone to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it! I find myself singing and dancing to this song. If I make you sing and dance to this song too, that would make me happy. And don't forget to share the song with friends. :)

Added to my company website Soulful & Nice Productions™ is a soundtrack collection. These are songs I composed that I would categorize as "Movie music." It's music that's perfect to go in the background of film, TV and video games. I write more than just smooth jazz music and I finally have a collection of songs that displays this ability. As a composer I want to expand my composition skills and create music in many different genres. As I improve on my songwriting ability, I hope to have another soundtrack collection in the future.
